How do you define your “status?”

Hi Friend!

Have you ever thought about how often you are asked about your “status?” Many of us log on to social media nearly every day and share what is new in our lives but even beyond social media, our titles at work define who we are in a company and our health care providers give us questionnaires every year asking our marital and job status. While we spend each day working hard to be the best in all the roles we hold, how much do you focus on your status of each?

On this week’s podcast I’m going to be sharing thoughts around how working towards a particular status may be keeping you from seeing what is being missed out on and how it’s important to check in with ourselves to make sure we are reaching for a status that is still in line with who we are today, not the twenty-year-old who we once were.

Friend, will you do me a favor? After listening in to today’s episode, will you give it a quick review? By doing so, you will be helping this podcast reach other listeners just like you.

This week's topic on the podcast: "Navigating External Expectations and Societal Pressures." Even as adults we are subjected to societal pressures to conform to what society tells us we should be and if we mold ourselves by what the world is putting out there, we're subjecting ourselves to losing ourselves and becoming less of who the world needs us to be-our own unique self. Show Notes: Ralph Waldo Emerson-To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
