Hey there, friend!

When is the last time you had a “pinch me” moment? You know, a time when you feel like you are dreaming because it is so unbelievable, and need someone to pinch you to confirm that it is real? It is a moment of intense joy, amazement, or disbelief that momentarily suspends your sense of reality.
I will be honest; I don’t know that I have ever truly experienced a “pinch me” moment let alone multiple times in one week.
This past week, I started a new job. A new job I never had planned for in 2023 and to be honest if you would have told me a few months ago I was going to be working, I would have greeted you with “no way!”
So how did this journey into a new career happen? I believe God was busy over the past few years weaving opportunities, experiences, and people together that would equip me for this job opportunity. I also believe by letting the reins loosen a bit and not forcing my own agenda it helped me to see this opportunity as a potentially good fit.
But before any of this. I started every day knowing I needed to simply take the next best step.
Starting each day with the next best step can be an easy and powerful approach to starting your day. It’s a reminder that progress is made one step at a time, and by consistently choosing the “next best step,” we can inch closer to where we are meant to be.
I hope when you wake this week, you will pledge to simply take your next best step. I think you will find it to be a wonderful way to start the day and will tweak your mindset in a positive way.
Join me next week on Grounded in the Middle where I share more about my first ever “pinch me” moment!
