Where We Meet in the Middle

Hey there friends!

As we stand on the doorstep of summer, I’ve been thinking a lot about what we carry with us and when to know it’s time to let it go or to leave it behind.

Life has a way of handing us things we never planned to carry. Commitments. Expectations. Worry. Overthinking. Gosh, and that constant feeling we should be doing more. Over time, it can become hard to hear our own voice beneath all the noise.

The change in seasons offer us a pause. A natural break in the year to reevaluate, reflect, and reposition.

To let go of the things that no longer serve us.

To release the pressure to do more, be more, and chase more.

And at the same time, to hold tightly to the things that matter most.

Maybe that looks like holding on to your faith, family, purpose, the people you love, traditions, or dreams you haven’t quite given up on.

Maybe it’s reaching way back and finding the parts of ourselves that were there long before the world told us who we should be.

And that is why this community means so much to me.

Because in a world that is constantly tugging at us, we need a place that brings us back to ourselves.

Farmhouse Storyteller began as a place to share stories. Over the years, it has grown into so much more. Through old house projects, family adventures, podcasts, recipes, and conversations, one thing has remained the same: this has always been a place where we meet in the middle.

A place to slow down.

A place to remember what matters.

A place for stories of faith, family, stewardship, and simple living.

The older I get, the more I believe that we’re not simply here to make a living. We’re here to make a life. And while that may look different for you and me we find common ground around making a life, not just a living.

Thank you for choosing to spend a little bit of your time with me. I’m so glad you’re here.
